With all the lingo and slang in the web3 world it is normal to feel unsure as all of this may be totally new to you. Fear not, you’re not the only one. The point of this channel is to give you a basic understanding of some of the concepts surrounding our game, the blockchain, NFTs, and more. And you don’t need to be an expert! So let’s go!
What is a Cryptocurrency?
Crypto is a virtual, or digital currency that is nearly impossible to counterfeit. It relies on a decentralized network of computers, and so does not rely on any central authority, such as governments or banks. Crypto is used in person-to-person transactions that are stored on the blockchain, and that can be stored in digital wallets. These digital currencies have different values and can be exchanged into real fiat money.
What is Blockchain?
Blockchain is a system of recording information in a way that makes it difficult or impossible to change, hack, or cheat the system. A blockchain is essentially a digital ledger of transactions that is duplicated and distributed across the entire network of computer systems on the blockchain.
The blockchain is the base for all cryptocurrencies and all play-to-earn games.
